Former City Player And Manager Attacked

Former Coventry City player and manager Gary McAllister needed hospital treatment after being attacked last night.

McAllister, now assistant to Steven Gerrard at Rangers, was waiting for a taxi after taking his wife Hayley out for a meal in Leeds City centre.

The Scot was punched in the face, according to reports and taken to hospital by police, who are now investigating.

McAllister needed ten stitches in his lip and was reported as being extremely shaken with his wife suffering wrist injuries during the struggle.
