Former Coventry City loanee Chris McGuire has signed for Sunderland.
McGuire, who scored twice for City at MK Dons in a loan spell in 2013, had been released by Bury last month.
McGuire has signed a two year deal which he will start on July 1st with The Mackams whose manager Jack Ross said: "Chris was desperate to come here, and he will tell you this is the biggest club he’s played for.
“But he’s got a bit about him and as soon as he saw the stadium, ‘I’ll have a bit of this’.
“He comes with a belief in his own abilities but a desire to make the most of this opportunity, so I’m pleased he’s aboard because he has proven quality.”
