Former Coventry City goalkeeper and Assistant Manager Tim Flowers has been helping out Cheltenham Town as a goalkeeping coach.

The City supporter, who recently admitted that one of his City heroes was Tommy Hutchison, has been helping out at Whaddon Road and has taken a couple of training sessions.

Speaking to BBC Gloucestershire, Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown said: We've had Tim Flowers in for the last two Thursdays and it's been brilliant. "If you can't learn off him, you can't learn off anybody - he's a legend. He's been great and the gaffer [Mark Yates] has been brilliant for getting him in.

"He's really down to earth and if you want to ask him anything he's really helpful. "I'm not sure if it's going to be a permanent arrangement, but even if it's just been for two sessions he's been brilliant."

Former City Reserve team striker Donovan Simmonds is still a way off convincing Morton that he is worth a contract. Simmonds is back in Scotland after his time in Malta with Floriana ended and is trying to win a contract but has been told that he needs to do more.

Morton Manager James O'Grady told the Greenock Telegraph: "He's not done enough as yet to nail down a place. "We have told him [on Tuesday morning] what he has to do. He has one more game and it's up to him."
