Fleck Prepared To Be Banned

John Fleck has prepared himself for the prospect that his next caution will see him banned for two matches.

The Coventry City midfielder is on nine bookings and could play in ten matches before March 9th when all cautions are wiped off.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Fleck said: “Obviously I don’t want it to come but there’s more chance of it happening than not.

“I have to say it’s not really in my mind once I start a game.

“If you have to make a foul by stopping the opposition from scoring by pulling someone back then it’s just one of those things. I’m sure it’s going to happen in the next few weeks.

“Tuesday’s game against Walsall and Saturday against Burton are very important – although you don’t want to miss any matches you want to play in the top of the league battles.

“If I had to do it on Tuesday night I’d have done it. Playing in that position sometimes it just has to be done and then you have to face the consequences when they come.

“But I’ll deal with that when it comes and that’s why the manager has brought in some players to strengthen all positions on the pitch and if they do well then it’s competition for places.”
