FIFA, after intervention from Prince William and Prime Minister David Cameron have slightly changed their stance on the poppy row.

The FA had asked FIFA if the shirts to be worn by England players, could be worn on the shirt for the game against Spain on Saturday. The Swiss based governing body said no. However after some intervention, FIFA have now said that players can have a poppy on their black armbands.

Downing Street has issued a statement saying they were pleased with the news.
