Father Of Former City Striker Murdered Says Paper

The father of former Coventry City striker Leon Clarke was the Wednesfield 'Murder' Victim according to the Wolverhampton Express And Star newspaper.

The paper is running a story which says that "Darrell Clarke was attacked in the beer garden or smoking area of The Boat pub in Church Street in Wednesfield near St Thomas’ CofE Church.

"The 50-year-old suffered a ‘serious head injury’ according to police. He was then said to have made his way to the Royal Tiger Pub just down the road where an ambulance was called. He died in New Cross Hospital on Saturday.

"Today, sources confirmed that former Wolves striker Leon Clarke is the son of the victim."
