Everyone Is A Part Of My Squad - Boothroyd

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that every player is a valued member of his squad.

The City boss told the CT: "I said to the boys this week who are not in the side at the moment - who are not the blue eyed boys right now and not in the top class if you like - that over the course of the season they will be the most important.

"I told them about James Chambers who played for me at Watford and probably played five or six games during the whole season and then got into the team against Palace and ended up scoring in front of 75,000 at the Millennium Stadium to beat Leeds 3-0.

"He got into the side because he remained focussed and his attitude was superb. It just so happened that Chris Eagles lost form and came out of the team and he went in and he is part of folklore now - part of that club's history.

"So everyone has to be ready and the players in the team know they have got to be on it and those out of the team know that if they sulk then they are not going to last very long because we can't carry any passengers. We are lean and we are mean and we want to win and everyone has to be on that mindset."
