Coventry City Ladies moved into the Quarter-Finals of the Birmingham County FA Womens Cup with an 11-0 win over Solihull Borough.

In a game moved to Coventry University Sports Ground after the pitch at Hampton Road in Solihull was deemed waterlogged, City took the team from the County League Division 2 apart.

The only person stopping Paul Cudby's side from running up a cricket score was Boro keeper Ashleigh Jones, who pulled off string after string of saves but could do nothing as Kerry Bartlett fired City ahead in the 11th minute with a right footed drive from inside the area.

After Mia Graham rifled a shot which City keeper Sarah Morgan dived to her right to push away. City went two goals up when a Katy Male cross was steered into her own net by Hayley Arthur.

Straight from the restart, City broke. Kerry Bartlett hit the bar with a rasping shot. Jones dived but could not stop Bartlett sticking the loose ball into the net.

It was 4-0 in the 36th minute, thanks to Danni Saulter finishing at the second attempt and just before half-time, Leanne McKenna, who had a fine game turned and scored from twenty yards to give City in their green\black away kit a five goal lead at half-time.

Solihull defended bravely and it was kept City back until the 51st minute, when Courtney Sweetman-Kirk side-footed home a Saulter free kick.

Nicole Dale hit the post from the edge of the area and before she was involved in a 62nd minute move which saw Helen Dermody smash the ball into the net from 25 yards.

Five minutes later, Danni Saulter made it 8-0 from even further out and this was followed by Kerry Bartlett completing her hat-trick with a low drive in the 71st minute.

Sweetman-Kirk sent one off the post before Leanne McKenna made it ten when she powerfully headed home a corner.

Three minutes from time, the rout was completed when Courtney Sweetman-Kirk played a neat one two with Bartlett and finished to book City place in the January 17th quarter-final with an 11-0 victory.
