Wasps CEO Nick Eastwood has said that he wants Coventry City in the Championship or higher.

Mr Eastwood, whose club are saying that they have sold 17,000 tickets for their first game at the Ricoh Arena, was speaking at the Sky Blue Trust meeting tonight and said: "I want the Sky Blues to be in the Championship and higher.”

He also said that  ACL take 77% of the profits and Compass the rest before answering a question about City's poor marketing with "We don't have a PR machine. We've just done what we can. We want to be in the community and we love being here."

When asked by Michael Orton of Keep Cov In Cov to put forward an example of what you've done so far to help CCFC, Mr Eastwood said: "Committing to upgrading and relaying the pitch is one so far."

Mr Eastwood also said: "We will provide a clean stadium. Any signage will belong to CCFC on a match day (It's always been this way)."
