Coventry City will sign Livingston Defender James McPake.

The 23 year old has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join City in the summer or in January, if the Sky Blues are prepared to pay.

He has made 97 starts for Livingston (with 19 sub appearances) with his debut in 2004. He has scored eight goals, been booked on 19 occasions and sent off once.

McPake, who played against City in the pre-season friendly back in July, has played three matches on loan for Morton.
