Culpin And Williams On Duty

Last updated : 21 December 2012 By CCFPA

Two members of the Association will be performing important media duties at the Sky Blues’ home game against Preston North End today, Saturday December  22nd 2012.

As usual, our special guest for the day- on Saturday this will be ‘Flying Postman’  John Williams – will be providing match day analysis for our friends at BBC CWR, asisting Stuart Linnell, Clive Eakin and Geoff Foster.

Normally, Sky Blue F.A.Cup hero (and CCFPA committee member) Dave Bennett is on duty doing the same matchday summarising on rival commercial channel Freeradio (formerly Mercia Sound) helping Joe Hol tinterpret the Sky Blue’s performance.

Paul Culpin 1987

For Saturday’s game Dave is unable to hit the airwaves so we have persuaded Paul Culpin to step into Dave’s shoes (as he has done before extremely capably). ‘Cully’, of course, was our special guest at the recent Walsall home game (and helped out BBC CWR during that game).

If you are not going to the game, whichever channel you choose to listen to, you will be able to hear the pearls of wisdom about CCFC and the team’s performance from either one of our well informed members.  Both John and Paul are sure to be entertaining and have interesting and incisive things to say about the Preston game as the Sky Blues strive to continue their recent good form against a club they will also have to meet again at the Ricoh early next month in the regional semi finals of the Johnson’s Paint Trophy.

Also look out for John and Paul (but not George and Ringo) ‘around the Lounges’ at the Ricoh before the game and, no doubt, CCFPA’s Billy Bell will be able to coax them both down to the G-Casino to meet fans from the stage of the Lady G’s Show Bar after the game.
