Coventry City travel south along the M1 on Saturday to take an underperforming Notts County who sit one place off the bottom of League One at Sixfields Stadium.

Stephen Pressley is likely to name an unchanged starting eleven from the side that beat Walsall 1-0 at the Bescott last Saturday, although defender Cyrus Christie is in line for a return to action after spending a month recovering from an ankle injury, he may be named on the bench.

Fellow defender Jordan Willis will miss his second game as he continues to recover from an operation to repair his knee injury. Aaron Phillips is likely to start at right back again in place of the injured Willis.

Billy Daniels is back from Germany after his hernia surgery and will not be available for selection until December.

With striker Mathieu Manset set to go out on loan, incoming teenage loanee Jamar Loza is set to be named on the bench.

Pressley will continue with his in form strike pairing of Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson, who have score 19 goals between them so far this season, with Wilson, with 10 goals, being the joint top scorer in the division along with MK Dons on loan striker Patrick Bamford and Leighton Orient’s Kevin Lisbie.

Notts County will have Steve Hodge in temporary charge after Chris Kiwomya left the club by mutual consent last week after losing to Preston North End. Hodge is boosted by the return of midfielder Andre Boucard having served a one game suspension, but club captain Dean Leacock will have a fitness test to check on his recovery after missing three games through illness.

Defender Mustapha Dumbuya, striker Marcus Haber and former Coventry City midfielder David Bell should all be fit for selection after all recovering from a variety of knocks. However striker Enoch Showunmi is not yet sufficiently recovered from his back injury to be considered.

Coventry City will go into the game as heavy favourites, being unbeaten in five games and despite starting the season with a 10 point deduction, now sit comfortably in 13th place. Notts County won their last game 3-2 at home to Oldham, to end their three game losing run.
