Matty Blair, the son of former Coventry City midfielder Andy, has been named as the Professional Footballers Association Community Champion.

The award was introduced by the PFA last year for all clubs in the English Football League as a way of raising awareness of the fantastic work done across communities.

Blair, who is at Doncaster Rovers, said about his award to Doncaster's club website: Doncaster Rovers are a real family club and a lot of the lads go above and beyond to make a difference, so it’s fantastic to be recognised.

“It’s a proud feeling for me to be presented with it but mainly I just hope I am impacting the lives of people in Doncaster.”
