City Councillor Brian Patton (Labour,Henley Ward ) has called for the full facts about the Arena to be made known before the meeting to decide if a 00 rent free period worth £400,000 and an overdraft of upto £1m should be given to Arena Coventry Limited.

Cllr Patton has issued Coventry City Council with a number of questions regarding whether CCFC have been offered five and a half months free rent and if ACL has paid the Council anything when it has staged City home games or the Bryan Adams concert.

Mr Patton is also concerned that eleven key decisions regarding the Arena have been raised as a matter of urgency, thus avoiding scrutinizing and told the CET: "There are now at least 111 occasions when a paper has been submitted either as a matter of urgency or straight to full council from Cabinet on this topic and which,as a consequence, also means that it could not be called in for scrutiny.
