Coventry City Council have announced that they are getting tough on motorists and it is all to do with money.

The City's parking scheme has a budget defecit of around £200,000 and orders have been issued to clamp down even more on motorists who the parking wardens feel are parking illegally.

The Arena car parks and exclusion zone are already heavily patrolled by wardens on a match day. Patrols are normally done an hour before kick off right up to half-time to ensure that supporters don't return to their vehicles and remove them.

You are advised to ensure that you park in only designated areas or look at using public transport.
