Former Coventry City goalkeeper Neil Collett has been talking about playing against Coventry City.

Coventry born and raised Collett was released by the Sky Blues back in April and has joined Nuneaton Town.

He played the second half against City on Wednesday night and kept a cleansheet.

Speaking to Nuneaton News, he said:"It was a great experience. It was a bit weird at first because you know all the players, but you've got to get on with on it and say 'it's my turn to play' and then do your best. "I hope I did that."

On his move to Nuneaton, Collett added: "I'm finding it really good here. The gaffer and the chairman (Ian Neale) have taken me under their wing and said this is a good club for me to get back on track.

"I want to prove everyone wrong, especially Coventry City. I want to prove that they were wrong to let me go. "I want to impress people who are watching me play.

"This is a great club, a great non league club to start at. I just want to kick on now."
