Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan has been forced to withdraw from Northern Ireland's squad to play Scotland in the Carling Nations Cup in Dublin on Wednesday night.

The Irish Football Association said that Birmingham's Maik Taylor, Blackpool's Craig Cathcart and Wolves' Jonny Gorman along with Clingan who has a knee injury which forced him to miss the defeats against Nottingham Forest and at Leeds yesterday, have all withdrawn due to injury.

Former City keeper Jonny Tuffey is in the squad.
