Clingan Sits Out Northern Ireland Tour

Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan is sitting out Northern Ireland's upcoming matches in America.

Nigel Worthington's side take on Turkey in Connecticut on May 26 before facing Chile in Chillan on May 30th and many of the squad including Clingan and former City keeper Jonathan Tuffey have opted to sit out the tour.

The Northern Ireland squad is as follows: Goalkeepers: Michael McGovern (Ross County), Alan Mannus (Shamrock Rovers)

Defenders: Colin Coates (Crusaders), Stephen Craigan (Motherwell), Andrew Little (Rangers), Rory McArdle (Rochdale), Gareth McAuley (Ipswich Town), Ryan McGiven (Manchester City)

Midfielders: Corry Evans (Manchester United), Kevin Braniff (Portadown), John Gorman (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Robert Garrett (Linfield), Jamie Mulgrew (Linfield), Michael Bryan (Watford)

Forwards: Josh Magennis (Cardiff City), Warren Feeney (Cardiff City), James Lawrie (Port Vale), Rory Patterson (Coleraine)
