Clarke Situation Making My Life Difficult - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has accused Leon Clarke of making his life difficult.

City have rejected a bid from Wolves for Clarke and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said:  “There’s been interest from Wolverhampton so we’ll see how that develops but it’s not an ideal situation because it makes my life very difficult.

“Steve Waggott and I have been working ever so hard on certain things, even prior to this happening, to bring in several strikers to the club.

"It’s not easy, especially when you consider we have the League’s two top scorers and one’s out for eight weeks and the other is extremely unsettled.

“So it’s not been the ideal week for us but, as I keep saying, we have to find a way for this club to keep moving forward with players that want to be part of the club moving forward.

“Ultimately, he’s a hugely important player for us and I can assure our supporters that we will not sell the player unless the deal is correct for this football club.”
