Clarke Extension Hint

Micky Adams has hinted that he would like Clive Clarke to stay at Coventry City. Speaking to the CT, the City boss said: "Clive is versatile and is happy to play wherever we want him to and he was outstanding in the previous two away games.

"He went to Sunderland for a few quid so, very much like Tony Pulis at Stoke, we are trying to work the loan system to keep people here as long as we can and then decide where we go depending on what finances are available to us.

"Certainly a loan extension would be something we will be looking into.
"I think Clive had a quiet game on Saturday but that could possibly be because he had three games in a week which he has not had for a long time.

I thought during the second half of the game I think the schedule caught up with us a little bit - not with everybody, but with certain players that have not had the number of games that the majority have. "But that will do him the world of good."
