Clapham's A Modern Day Coach - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has described new coach and U21's boss Jamie Clapham as a 'modern day coach'

“He’s what I would call a 'modern-day' coach who likes the analysis, likes to work with the analysts to break everything down and try to work with individual players to try to improve them,” said Mowbray to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.

“He’s done his coaching badges and he’s a good, honest, hard-working and dedicated guy who wants to get on the coaching ladder and I like his mannerisms and the way he works.

“His ambition is to work with senior players and yet he cut his teeth with younger players and has shown he has a good acumen for that.

"It’s always a good first step because of the fine detail you have to do with young players with one-on-ones and departmental work with the back four or strikers etc which provides a good base for your coaching career.”
