City's Police Bill Could Increase

Coventry City's annual bill for policing could dramatically rise if recommendations by the Association of Chief Police Officers come to fruition.

The Sky Blues pay around £200k a year for policing inside the Ricoh Arena with the tax payer paying the rest.

However, new moves from ACPO want clubs to pay all of the policing match day costs (circa £450k) including extra patrols in town and other parts of Cov for certain high risk matches.

Both the club and West Midlands Police are set to hold meetings to discuss these costs.
