Speaking about the win, Kwame Thomas said to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “One thing that I said coming into the game was that I’ll keep following in to the goal in case a shot is spilled and Beavon has done well, the ‘keeper has saved it and I’ve tried to get on the rebound.
“It was a little behind me so I’ve tried similar in the past going for the back heel, and thankfully it has worked out for me tonight and gone in.
“We have to do that again on Saturday, that is the main thing. It’s a great feeling to get the win, but at the end of the day, we’re still bottom of the league. It means nothing unless we go and take this confidence into the weekend.”
On Saturday, Coventry City are back in action. Bristol Rovers are the visitors to the Ricoh Arena and are bringing around 4,000 fans with them for what will be a new ground.
