City Unseeded For League Cup

Coventry City will be unseeded for the League Cup (Capital One Cup) First Round draw next week.

The First Round draw this season will see seeded teams will be drawn against unseeded teams rather than split into the usual north or south pairings.

Tony Mowbray's side are in the unseeded section thanks to their lowly League One finish last season.

This means the Sky Blues will face on August 11th/12th either a home or away game against: Barnsley, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton, Bradford City, Brenford, Brighton, Bristol City, Cardiff, Charlton, Chesterfield, Derby, Fleetwood, Fulham, Gillingham, Huddersfield, Hull City, Ipswich, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Millwall, MK Dons, Nottingham Forest, Peterborough, Preston, QPR, Reading, Rochdale, Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Swindon, Wigan and Wolves.

The draw takes place on Tuesday at 10am.
