City Trial For Hinckley Lad

Coventry City are giving a trial to Hinckley left back Connor Franklin, The 22 year old i to play in a trial game this afternoon when a Coventry City second team will play Hereford United at Warwick.

City boss Chris Coleman saw Franklin play and invited him to have a trial with the Sky Blues.

Franklin used to play for Nuneaton Borough and was a Leicester trainee and has previously had a trial with Lincoln City, Crewe Alexandra are also thought to be interested in the defender.

Hinckley manager Dean Thomas wants franklin to stay with the Knitters, at least until the end of the season, but he won't try to prevent player leaving, so long as any deal is the right one for the Blue Square North club.

Thomas said, "It's a good opportunity for Connor and I am sure he will go and make the most of it. There are a lot of clubs looking at him and I happy for him to go and play in trial games as long as he stays focused on his football with us."

Under the Bosman Ruling, Hinckley can expect a transfer fee for Franklin as he is under 24- years of age..
