City To Play The Loan Game

Forget transfer fees, Coventry City are looking to take players on loan for the rest of the season.

Said Chris Coleman to the CT: "I don't envisage anything happening in the next 24-48 hours, although we are no different to anyone else and we are looking to do something in the window.

"We have James McPake coming down from Livingston. If that happens in January great, but if not not we have got him in the summer. There are other players we are looking to bring in, possibly loan deals but you never know until it is done," said Coleman playing his cards close to his chest.

"We are looking to do a bit of business but the credit crunch is affecting everyone, especially in our league. I think it will be the summer before we get any sort of activity like we saw last year when we bought in six players - that's the window where we will be adding permanent deals."
