Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that the club will look after Stephen Elliott who is recovering from a knee ligament injury.

Elliott is out of contract on June 30th after joining City on a one year deal but the City boss said that the club will look after his rehabilitation in the summer.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Steven Pressley said: “I need to sit down and have a discussion with Stephen, who has been really unfortunate. But the one thing, moving forward, we are going to make sure we get him fit.

“So I can assure you the club will look after him, one way or the other, and over the course of the summer we’ll ensure that the player returns to fitness come pre-season.

“I want to sit down with him on Sunday, as I will with all the players, to get his thoughts, our thoughts and where we are, and the one thing is for sure is that we’ll get him in condition.”
