The striker, highly rated by Coleman, pulled up in the 19th minute of the game at Rugby Park and had to be replaced by Clinton Morrison.

Best was limping on his right leg after the game and said to the City supporters inquiring as to his injury. "I don't know what I have done".

He will receive any necessary treatment on Monday when the players train at the Ricoh Arena in preparation for the new season.

The club had hoped to be at the redeveloped Ryton complex but delays of a couple of weeks has meant that this is not been possible.
