The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance is regularly seen in the skies over Coventry taking injured people to hospital at Walsgrave and Coventry City have announced that they have made the charity which disgracefully receives no government or lottery assistance, as one of their nominated charities for the year.

City players Gary McSheffrey and David Bell recently had a tour of the WNAA base at Baginton Airport and told the club website: "It was good to come and see what they do here. It's amazing these guys have to raise all the money themselves to provide such an important service that saves lives. It's a very worthy cause for the club to be supporting."
