Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has revealed that he bawled out his strikers before Saturday's home game against Crystal Palace and was delighted with their response.

Mr Coleman believes that the draw on Saturday could be the break that start the recovery of form and consequent rise up the league table.

Coleman said to the CT, "Any team is as good as its strikers, and if they're not working hard enough you're struggling. In Leon, Clinton Morrison and Freddy Eastwood we've got as good strikers as anybody but before the game I told them that they haven't been doing enough for the team, they weren't doing some of the thankless tasks that are just as important as scoring goals."

"Against Palace they gave me everything I asked for. Leon got the goal but Clinton did more than his share - they both worked their socks off. They were up against two tough centre-halves but they never stopped running, they ran the channels, they chased lost causes and they were very unselfish in terms of their teamwork."

"I'll settle for that, the team will settle for that and so will the fans.We were a bit unlucky at times. I don't think we deserved to be behind at half-time but when you're in a rut like we've been that's what happens."
