Coventry City remain interested in former Sky Blue Gary McSheffrey.

The striker, who was sold for £2,235m cash to Birmingham City is currently out with a knee injury and has not played a league game for the Blues since October.

He has had only three league starts this season with two substitute appearances and two outings in the League Cup and would be in need of match practice when he returns to training.

With any more under Alex McLeish seemingly unlikely, Birmingham are now being reported as being approachable to the prospect of loaning out the Coventry kid to the Sky Blues for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
