City Still Fourth Despite Defeat

Coventry City are still fourth in the League One table despite losing 2-0 at home to divisional leaders Burton Albion.

The Sky Blues, who have 48 points from 27 matches, are now six points behind The Brewers, four behind Walsall who won 3-2 at Bury and three points behind Gillingham who drew 2-2 at Doncaster.

Wigan are behind the Sky Blues on goal difference after beating Chesterfield 3-1 at home with Peterborough United in sixth place after a 0-0 draw with eighth placed Southend United at London Road.

Bottom side Crewe led 3-1 at Swindon Town but lost 4-3 and they are a point behind Colchester United who lost 2-1 at home to Sheffield United. Third from bottom Oldham lost 1-0 at Bradford City whilst Shrewsbury dropped into the bottom four after a 3-0 home defeat to Barnsley.

Shrewsbury replace Blackpool in the bottom four after the Seasiders climbed to 19th placed with a 5-0 home win over Scunthorpe United.

Elsewhere, Rochdale's game with Fleetwood Town was postponed.
