Coventry City stayed out of the bottom four of the League One table after Colchester United were beaten tonight.
Colchester faced MK Dons at home but were beaten 1-0 with Dele Alli scoring the only goal of the game after 44 minutes.
MK Dons are five points behind leaders Bristol City who beat Peterborough United 2-0 at Ashton Gate.
Elsewhere, Doncaster beat Crewe 2-1, Sheffield Unirted won 2-1 at Notts County with Scunthorpe beating Chesterfield 2-0.
