Coventry City remain in thirteenth place in the League One table despite a 3-1 defeat at Tranmere Rovers.

The Sky Blues are five points and a better goal difference ahead of fourth from bottom Bristol City, who were beaten 3-0 at Sheffield United.

City are six points and a better goal difference ahead of third from bottom Shrewsbury Town who came back to win 3-2 at 23rd place Notts County.

Bottom side Stevenage are five points behind Notts County after going down to a 1-0 defeat at home to sixth placed Peterborough United.

Leyton Orient are back top of the table after a 2-0 win over Swindon Town and are ahead of Wolves, who won 3-0 at Brentford on goals scored.

Preston remain in fourth thanks to a 2-1 win at Colchester United, three points ahead of fifth placed Rotherham United who won 2-1 at Carlisle United.

Walsall stay seventh despite a 2-1 home defeat to Crawley and elsewhere, Bradford City beat MK Dons 1-0, Oldham beat Gillingham 1-0 and Crewe won 3-1 at Port Vale.
