City One Of The FA Cup Shocks

Coventry City's 2-1 win at Barnsley was one of a few shocks in the FA Cup Third Round matches this afternoon.

Premier League Aston Villa were beaten 2-1 at home by League One side Sheffield United with Southend United beating manager-less Millwall 4-1, Stevenage winning 3-2 at Doncaster Rovers and Rochdale beat Leeds United 2-0,

The non-league sides of Kidderminster Harriers and Macclesfield Town both live to fight another day. Kidderminster drew 0-0 with Peterborough with Macclesfield drawing 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday. However, Grimsby Town went down to a 3-2 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Other sides getting a draw against higher division opposition were Blackburn Rovers who drew 1-1 with Manchester City, Bristol City drew 1-1 with Watford, Preston drew 1-1 at Ipswich and the holders Wigan were held to a 3-3 draw by MK Dons.

Arsenal, Cardiff, Hull City, Brighton, Everton, Southampton, Stoke, Crystal Palace and Yeovil all won to join Coventry City in the Fourth Round draw on Sunday.
