Coventry City F.A. Cup heroes including Dave Bennett, Trevor Peake and Cyrille Regis are lining up to support ‘Edgar’s Gift’* a charity set up to raise money to provide days out and experiences for young cancer sufferers (and their families).

Some of the former City players will represent Coventry City in a charity football match against Leicester City Legends (including the likes of Muzzy Izzet, Steve Walsh and Mattt Elliott) at 2pm on Sunday 17th April 2011 at Hinckley United’s Greene King stadium.

Admission is £5 adults and £1 for under 16s.

The game will be followed by an auction of CCFC and LCFC memorabilia with all proceeds going to the charity.

* The Charity has been set up in memory of Sky Blue fan Ben ‘Edgar’ Edkins who died in April 2010 after a year long fight with cancer at the young age of 25 and has so far raised in excess of £7500 for various cancer charities.
