Danny Sturridge and Jordan Henderson played for England in their World Cup game against Urugay.
Both sides needed a win after opening game defeats and former City Academy youngster Sturridge and former Coventry City loanee Jordan Henderson played for an England side which fell behind to a goal from another Liverpol player in Luis Suarez, who scored with a header after 38 minutes.
However, in the 75th minute, England were level thanks to Wayne Rooney but with six minutes left, Suarez was gifted a chance and made no mistake to give Uruguay a 2-1 win.
