City Old Boys On International Duty

There were former Coventry City players involved in matches tonight.

Former City player and manager Gordon Strachan was in charge of a Scotland side which won 1-0 against a Northern Ireland side managed by former City midfielder Michael O'Neill who included former loanee Oliver Norwood who played for 68 minutes in a game which saw Christophe Berra score the only goal of the game.

O'Neill left former City captain Sammy Clingan out of the squad.

Former City loanee Chuba Akpom scored for Aidy Boothroyd's England U20's in their 1-1 draw against Mexico at Barnet FC.

The game went to penalties and Akpom scored his as England won on penalties.
