Former Coventry City youngster Josh Ruffels will be staying at Oxford United for another season.
The U's have activated a clause which will add another year to the midfielder's contract.
Oxford are also offering a deal to former City loanee Chris McGuire. The striker scored four times in six matches to help Oxford get promoted into League One after joining Oxford when his time at Sheffield Wednesday ended.
