Former Coventry City striker Michael Mifsud played for Malta in a 2-0 win over Lithuania tonight.
A crowd of 950 saw Mifsud who now plays for Maltese side Silema Wanderers fire just wide of the post in the 33rd minute.
Latvia had most of the play but Malta went ahead in the 62nd minute through Paul Fenech and added a second ten minutes from time through Alfred Effiong.
Former Coventry City loanee keeper Kasper Schmeichel, now with Leicester City, played in Denmark's 2-1 win over Montenegro.
