Former Coventry City striker Graham Barrett has joined St Johnstone until the end of the season.

Hearts had been interested in Barrett who made 32 appearances for the Sky Blues but decided against signing him after his release by Falkirk, whom he joined from City.

Barrett came to City after being freed by Arsenal and has also played for Bristol Rovers, Crewe, Colchester, Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday and Livingston,

Former City keeper Peter Shilton has said that he does not think David Beckham will beat his 125 caps.

Shilton, who played for City in friendlies at Finn Harps and St Albans City in 1995 and was signed as cover for the injured Steve Ogrizovic, told BBC Radio Stoke: "I don't think he will beat my record but if he does I'll congratulate him."

Wayne Andrews is on trial at Yeovil Town. The front man scored eight times for City Reserves last season and was released by Chris Coleman. He has been out of the game since.
