Tim Flowers has, as expected been appointed Assistant Manager to Iain Dowie at Queens Park Rangers. The former keeper left City on the day that Iain Dowie was dismissed as City manager. John Harbin could also be given a role. Craig Pead will join Port Vale on a two year deal on July 1st. The defender was released by Brentford at the end of the season. Trevor Bejamin has been released by Hereford United. Chris Kirkland has signed a four year deal with Wigan Athetic. The keeper, now 27 years old join Wigan from Liverpool after coming through the City ranks only to be sold by Bryan Richardson for a cut price. Luke Steele has signed for Barnsley on a free transfer. The keeper who was twice on loan at City had been at West Brom. Martin Jol,who played for City in the early 1980's, has been named as the new manager of SV Hamburg. The Dutchman was sacked by Tottenham last year. Lee Carsley has joined Championship Birmingham City. The midfielder, popular during his Highfield Road days,left Everton, the club he signed for in 2001.
