City Looking For Kent Replacement

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray, ably assisted by Mark Venus are looking for a replacement for Ryan Kent who has returned to Liverpool.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner:  “It’s what I have been doing this week.

“Mark Venus works extraordinarily hard on the recruitment and I have got lists of players I am looking at, basically video lists so I have been watching all their clips.

“We have got certain options, some fall into different categories and some are a bit more expensive than others.

“Mark just gives me a menu to pick from and I am just trying to pick the right ones for the group.

“There are some exciting names on there, some exciting players who I think would be really good for our team.

“But they have to fit into our structure because it’s no good having four No.10s, for instance, because we have already got two of those who are really talented in Cole and Maddison who are both vying for that position. So I don’t want another No.10 even if he’s good enough to get in our team.

"I’d like maybe another wide player, maybe two wide players, two centre-halves and maybe another striker because Armstrong can’t play every minute of every game and I think we need another striker of that type.”
