Coventry City Ladies' Hayley Ladd played for Wales Women in their World Cup Qualifying game against Turkey this afternoon.

In a game played at a sold out Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium in Haverfordwest in front of a crowd of 890, Ladd played a fantastic reverse pass to set up Sarah Wilts for the opening goal and then had a twenty five yarder tipped over on the stroke of half-time.

Ladd, who had a fine game, picked up an injury and was forced off in the 78th minute and replaced by Michelle Green as Wales took a 1-0 win against a Turkish side who had Karagenc sent off for a second bookable offence in the 79th minute.

In the same group, England who fielded former Coventry City Girls FC player Karen Carney, won 3-0 in Belarus
