Coventry City Ladies won the Birmingham County FA Women's Cup for the fourth time with a 1-0 victory over Sporting Club Albion.

At Nuneaton, in the final, Coventry were ahead inside four minutes when Hughes crossed into the mixer for Maz Gauntlett to shin the ball into the net from a few yards out.

City continued to press, winning a 19th minute corner in a half which saw Albion have their first shot thirteen minutes later.

City had a corner and Wood had a shot to save before Craig Nicholls' side had a 50th minute free kick saved.

Amber Hughes sent a volley over before Dermody got through and rifled a shot on to the keeper's right hand post.

In the 69th minute, City had the ball in the net after a great move but the assistant in front of some of the City support had her flag up yet again and the goal was ruled out.

Hughes went close with a 77th minute curler in a game which got heated at times due to some refereeing decisions.

Dermody fired wide on the turn as City won to lift the County Cup for the fourth year in a row.
