Coventry City Ladies won 1-0  at Charlton Athletic

At Thamesmead Town in this WPL National Division fixture on a lovely sunny day, City took to the field in their new kit https://twitter.com/CoventryCityLFC/status/320885753884340224/photo/1

City started well and in the 20th minute took the lead when the Sky Blues won three corners and on the third, captain Natasha Lynch was able to scramble home.

Another Dermody corner followed and again City were first to the ball, getting shots off, both of which blocked.

Courtney Sweetman-Kirk just failed to get her to a Dermody free kick as City went looking for a second goal.

The Sky Blues gave a debut to Brazilian Mafi de Campos for the last twenty minutes as City took a deserved 1-0 win to complete the double over Charlton.

City; Wood, Miles, Lynch, Walton, Hollingsworth, McQuilkin (de Campos 70), Barber, Dermody, Formaston (Reay 83), Clough (Dale 90), Sweetman- Kirk. Subs: Wilcox
