City Ladies Win At Cardiff

Coventry City Ladies came from behind to win 2-1 at WPL Southern Division leaders Cardiff City

Craig Nicholls went into this clash without midfielder Hayley Ladd who is on international duty with Wales, defender Kim Walton and midfielder Callen Barber.

City got off to the worst possible start at the International Stadium at Leckwith when Becky Poppleton was told to leave the field in the first minute to change an ankle strap and Kayleigh Green scored from a free kick to put Cardiff ahead.

Becky Anderson levelled in the second half with a side foot from twenty yards which went into the bottom corner and fifteen minute from time, Maz Gauntlett beat the keeper to give the Sky Blues, who are now fourth in the table, some five points behind leaders Gillingham with a game in hand, the win.
