Coventry City Ladies' run of twenty two games unbeaten is over as the Sky Blues went down to a 4-3 extra time defeat to Cardiff City

This re-arranged FA WPL League Cup Quarter-Final saw the Sky Blues trailing to an early goal but were level when Amber Hughes equalised and then in front when Hughes scrambled home after the keeper failed to deal with an Ashley Neville cross.

Cardiff levelled on the hour mark to make it 2-2, only for Helen Dermody to fire City back in front.

Cardiff equalised through Naomi Clipson to make it 3-3 and send the game into extra time.

There were no goals in the first period but in the second period, Abbie Britton scored a stunning goal after 112 minutes to defeat the Sky Blues for a second time in a League Cup tie and end Coventry City Ladies' twenty two game unbeaten run.
