City In Relegation Battle After Defeat At Preston

Coventry City are in the midst of a relegation battle after their 1-0 defeat at Preston North End dropped them to 20th place in the League One table.

City have 31 points from 29 matches and appear to be one of six teams now battling to avoid the drop.

City are now three points ahead of Colchester United who lost 3-2 at home to Crewe, three ahead of Yeovil who beat second from bottom Crawley 2-1 and five clear of bottom side Leyton Orient whose game at Rochdale was postponed.

Bristol City still lead the way after a 0-0 draw at MK Dons. Swindon beat Barnsley 2-0 to go second with Preston moving up to fourth, ahead of Chesterfield who won 1-0 at Notts County and Oldham who won 1-0 at Scunthorpe.

Other results saw Doncaster lose 2-0 at home to Walsall, Fleetwood draw 1-1 with Peterborough, Gillingham beat Sheffield United 2-0 and Port Vale draw 2-2 with Bradford City.
