City Girls Win The Cup

Coventry City Ladies U16's were cup winners today beating Aston Villa 4-2 in the Centre Of Excellence Cup Final. Chan Davis,Sarah Gilchrist,Helen Dermody and Katy Moran scored the goals. Unfortunately,City's U12 side could not match the feat and lost 3-0 in their COE final.

Elsewhere and in the best FA Cup Final since Brian Kilcline lifted the FA Cup in 1987, Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 on penaties after a 3-3 draw which England's Steve Gerrard scored twice.

Former Sky Blue Stephen Pressley picked up a winners medal in the Scottish FA Cup Final after his Hearts side beat Gretna 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. With Hearts already in the Champions League,Gretna who were playing English non-league football three seasons ago will play in the UEFA Cup.

Locally, Kenilworth Wardens Reserves drew 2-2 with Hawksmill Reserves copying the scoreline of last weeks first team encounter. Wardens end the season finishing fourth in Division 4.
